Barcelona May Scupper Deal For Everton's Deulofeu

Gerard Deulofeu eventually joined AC Milan on loan from Everton last month but any chance of signing him permanently could be down to Barcelona and what plans they could have for him?

The Spanish club are said to hold a buy back clause on the winger with his impressive performances for Milan - he scored the winner for our nine men against Bologna in the last game - seeing Barcelona considering taking this up in the summer according to Mundo Deportivo, via

If Everton do decide to sell Deulofeu Barcelona could take him back to the Nou Camp for €8m. That option could be taken up even if Barca didn't plan to keep him as they could then sell him on at an inflated fee.

Deulofeu will definitely stay at the San Siro until the end of the season and with his help we'll hope to return to European competition next season - ideally this can be in the Champions League as it'll help with our ability to attract prime targets.

Sino-Europe will reportedly give Vincenzo Montella a transfer kitty of £140m this summer and among the names on this list are Deulofeu's Everton in-demand teammate Romelu Lukaku.

The Daily Star Sunday has claimed the 23 year old £75m rated Belgium international striker could be among those targeted with a so called 'San Siro source' quoted as saying.

'He possesses aggression, composure and an eye for goal needed to succeed.'

This is just wrong, check your facts. If Barcelona do buy him back, which they will have to do for 12m euros then they cannot sell him on for at least a year. If he doesn't feature in Barca's plans, then Geri will not move back to Barcelona to sit on their bench.
